4 ways to cut your medication bill
1. Try small lifestyle steps first. Ask your doctor about non-drug ways to manage your condition to get the same results
2. Review all your medications with your doctor once a year. Know what you take. Ask if there is another drug that can do the work of two that you are currently taking. See if there is a less expensive medication.
3. Always choose a generic drug if possible. Order through the mail order program and make sure you order early enough that you have time to receive your medications before you run out. If you have an emergency you can call Bridge-Works for assistance. DO NOT RISK NOT TAKING YOUR MEDICINE.
4. Take your medication as prescribed. Half of the people don’t and risk complicating their conditions. Carry a small list of all the medications you take in case you are in an accident. Make sure your emergency contact person has a list as well. Keep this list updated.
